MICF 2020 Scholarship Winners:

Chase McGill

Central graduate Chase McGill plans to attend University of Portland to study business finance. Chase was the winner of the 2020 Trammart News Service Verna Duncan Memorial $1,000 Scholarship from the Monmouth-Independence Community Foundation.

Haley Taylor

Haley Taylor, 2020 graduate from Central High School, plans to attend Pacific University. Haley received one of the $1,500 scholarship awarded by the Monmouth Independence Community Foundation this year.

Stephanie Herrera

Stephanie Herrera also received a $1,500 Monmouth Independence Community Foundation scholarship. Stephanie plans to study art and design at Western Oregon University.

Melanie Anna Meador

Another Monmouth Independence Community Foundation scholarship winner is Melanie Anna Meador. Melanie will use her $1,500 award at Oregon State University. She says, “I will be majoring Animal Science, with the Animal BioHealth/Pre-Professional option. My plan is to apply to vet school after that to get my DVM. In the future, I hope to become a large animal veterinarian and potentially do research in the veterinary medicine field.”
